BWLAP is collecting cell phones! Many of you have old cell phones gathering dust in the bottom of a desk drawer. These phones can be put to good use, and you may receive a tax deduction based on the value of the phones you donate. Our cell phone fundraiser program is sponsored by Shelter Alliance (www.shelteralliance.net), a program of cell phone recycling company GRC Wireless Recycling (www.grcrecycling.com). Through Shelter Alliance, nonprofit organizations raise funds through the collection & recycling of used cell phones, and businesses & consumers donate & recycle cell phones to benefit nonprofit participants. You donate your old cellular phone by either dropping them off at our office or by mailing the phones to us. BWLAP collects the cellular phones and sends them to Shelter Alliance free of charge. Shelter Alliance either reuses the phones or refines them. Then Shelter Alliance sends BWLAP a check for up to $30.00 for each cellular phone and at least $0.50 for every cellular phone. |
