Governor Pawlenty wants to decrease the renters' credit from 19% to 15% by the year 2008. This will effect domestic violence victims/survivors by decreasing their renters' credit refund in some cases as much as $311.00. This is money that domestic violence victims/survivors use to keep themselves safe from abuse. Tell Governor Pawlenty that renters' credit is important to you, your community and to domestic violence victims/survivors. For more information check out BWLAP's website on renters' credit or the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits' website. Or call or e-mail Rana at 612-343-9844 to find out what you can do to help. |
